Lakeside Cottages
The private, lakeside Cottages at Bluebird Bay offer a comfortable and spacious option for families and groups, along with some of the best views of Lake Shafer in the area. Each cottage features 2 bedrooms, a living area, dining table, bathroom, and kitchenette — making them the largest of our accommodations.
Every cottage includes a private deck with a grill, outdoor seating, and beautiful lake views, providing an ideal setting for relaxing and enjoying time together at the lake.
The Cottages are also the only dog-friendly accommodations at Bluebird Bay. Pre-approval is required.
Standard Cottage - 2 Bedroom
Our Standard Cottages (Chickadee #1 and Hummingbird #2) offer a comfortable, two-story layout ideal for families and small groups. Each cottage includes two queen beds and a sleeper sofa in the living room.
These cottages feature a unique two-level design, with the kitchen and deck access located on the lower level. The bathroom is arranged with a half bath off the upstairs living area and a separate shower located in one of the bedrooms. Both cottages overlook the peaceful Honey Creek Bay and are conveniently located near the pool. Chickadee Cottage is the closest to the stairs leading down to the boat docks and lake.
Please note that both Standard Cottages (Chickadee & Hummingbird) require the use of interior stairs.

Deluxe Cottage - 2 Bedroom
The Deluxe Cottage (#3 Kingfisher) is our largest and most popular accommodation, offering a spacious and comfortable option for families and groups. The cottage features a queen bed in one bedroom and a full-over-full bunk bed plus a twin bed in the second bedroom, along with a queen sleeper sofa in the living area.
Kingfisher Cottage has a traditional one-story layout, making it easy to access and move throughout the space. It overlooks the peaceful Honey Creek Bay and is located at the edge of the property near the parking area, providing both convenience and scenic views.
The Deluxe Cottage (Kingfisher) is the only unit on the property that does not require internal or external stairs to access.
