Renovations

Since purchasing the resort property in 2021, we have been working hard to update the units, grounds and amenities. While we still have plans for more improvements, here are some examples that show how far we have come. Enjoy!

#1 Chickadee Cottage

The Chickadee Cottage had some water damage on the exterior living room wall, which was removed and repaired. Stone-composite flooring was installed throughout. The fireplace was refinished and new paint and furniture lightened the spaces.

#2 Hummingbird Cottage

The Hummingbird Cottage was in good structural shape so we focused on updating the interiors. New flooring, paint, appliciances, and, furniture, including a sofa bed, updated the space.

#3 Kingfisher Cottage

The Kingfisher Cottage received a lot of love. Extensive floor damage was repaired and the foundation was supported. We refinished cabinets, installed a new countertop, painted, updated the furniture, and installed new floors.

#5 Sandpiper Suite

The Sandpiper Suite had a leaking window and door that caused some floor damage. We repaired the flooring and replaced the old window and door with new french doors, which let in natural light and open up the space. New flooring, paint, furniture and refinished cabinets completed the updates.

#7 Cardinal Suite

The Cardinal Suite received a lot of new finishes, including all new kitchenette cabinets, appliances, paint, flooring, and bathroom fixtures.

#9 Raven Studio

Our Studio units needed the most attention. We removed wall paneling and drop-ceilings, adding bead board ceilings. We reconfigured the kitchenette and replaced all bathroom fixtures, upgraded plumbing and electrical throughout. New paint, furniture and decor finished the transformation.

#10 Starling Suite

The Starling Deluxe Suite underwent the most dramatic transformation of all Bluebird Bay spaces. What started as 3 separate, tiny single room studios was transformed into our most spacious Suite. The rooms were gutted to the studs; drop-ceilings were replaced with bright bead board, a new large kitchen space and smaller kitchenette were added. All new furniture, fixtures, and flooring updated the spaces to create one of our most popular accommodations.
